School of Spanish in Canet de Mar, Catalunya

Canet is situated on the Mediterranean coast between Arenys de Mar and Sant Pol de Mar, about 40km north of Barcelona.
It is a small, tranquil town and with a population of only 10,000 inhabitants and very little tourism it has all the special charm of a small coastal town.
You can see several modernist buildings built buy former "indians" (peolple who went to America to make fortune) designed for the fashionable architects of their time: Lluís Domènech i Pere Domènech.
Canet is the ideal location for a quiet stay where even in summer you can find some uncrowded magnificant beaches which can be appreciated with a walk along the lovely sea-front promenade.
The Mediterranean climate gives an average summer temperature of 25°C and around 300 days of sunshine a year.
Barcelona itself offers a wide range of cultural activities, including theatres, exhibitions and concerts... Regarded as one of the most influential and modern cities in Spain, the city has produced osme of the finest modernist artists in the world, such as Gaudí. A 45-minute train ride into the centre of Barcelona means you can really benefit from the best of both worlds.

You may occupy your accommodation from the arrival day (Sunday) until noon on the last Saturday of your course.
1. Comfortable and spacious flats shared with four or five students. Each flat has one or two double and one or two single bedrooms. Your bedroom can either be single or double, if sharing with a friend.
The flats are clean and cosy and all have a shared fully-equipped kitchen (with washing machine) and sitting room (with television) and bathrooms. Bedrooms are supplied with bed linen and it is only necessary to bring towels. Gas, water and electricity expenses are included in the price.
2. We will assist with hotel or hostel reservations if you opt for this type of stay.
Please note: Accommodation with a Spanish family is not possible!
