Spanish courses in Prado del Rey, Andalusia

 The language school in Prado del Rey offers different types of Spanish courses in all levels almost all year round. The standard courses are Monday through Friday from 09 to 1:00 pm. The intensive courses are from 09 to 3:00 pm. One unit class is 45 minutes in length. From our course program you can choose the course that fits best to your expectations and needs.
Our entry-level test, which is done on the first Monday of the course, allows us to find the adequate level for everyone.
We apply an effective method that is adapted to our student's needs. Communication and active participation of the students is clearly in the focus. Subject of our classes is further more than learning grammar and vocabulary; it is its combination with interesting exercises such as conversation, discussions, roll plays, Spanish movies, etc. Our students constantly use the acquired knowledge and extend them on every occasion. You will speak Spanish not only in class, but also with the people on the street, at your accommodation and during the adventure and culture activities. In each course a maximum of 8 persons are participating fitting well together regarding state of knowledge and course type selected.
From the first day we speak Spanish in class and create a cordial and amicable atmosphere. Our teachers pay attention to the progress of each student in his studies. After the first lesson our students will be able to say goodbye and "see you tomorrow".
We offer following Spanish courses:
Course 20: 20 tuition units per week
This course is the best for you if you want to acquire a general knowledge of the Spanish language or deepen your knowledge. For an intensive tuition we make sure that the groups are composed of 3 to 8 students.
You will have 4 lessons of 45 minutes daily from Monday to Friday beginning at 9:00 am, taking a 30 minutes break at 10:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm.
Thus you have enough time to relax before starting the afternoon activities.
Course 20+5h and Course 20+10h: 20 lessons in a group plus 5 or 10 lessons one-to-one classes
The best option for students who want to progress rapidly and effectively in a short time. In the intensive plus courses we focus on fluent conversation and good pronunciation. To allow an intensive tuition the groups are composed of 3 to 8 students. We work intensively on vocabulary, grammar and written expression. Especially in the one-to-one lessons you will learn more effectively and have more individual contact with your teacher.
One-to-one lessons
With this individual type of tuition you have all the possibilities to create a special program according to your interests and preferences. You can determine the contents and the duration of the course and the teacher will focus on your individual questions.
Preparation course for the D.E.L.E. exam
The exam preparation courses for the D.E.L.E. ("Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera") are the best option for students who want to acquire a certificate of international renown to prove their knowledge in Spanish especially in business. The course is composed of the following 3 areas: oral expression, written expression, grammar and vocabulary. At the end of the course you will participate in the exam of the Spanish Minister of Education. You can choose between the levels "Certificado Inicial", "Diploma Básico" or "Diploma Superior" and having passed the exam you will have a most valuable certificate in your hands.
Groups
If you are a group of students, you have the possibility to attend a course especially adapted to your requirements (e.g. preparation of an exam, preparation of studies abroad, technical language).
On demand we will send you an offer. The dates for groups can be arranged as you prefer during almost all year round.
Beginners & Elementary
 For students with no previous knowledge of Spanish, this level provides an introduction to the basic structures of the language. Classes are given entirely in Spanish with listening, comprehension and oral expression being fundamental. You will learn to
- communicate in everyday situations such as eating out, travelling and leisure time
- to understand important information in small conversations or texts
- write short texts
- the basic grammar
- good pronunciation
using basic vocabulary. We work with everyday objects e.g. menus, maps, forms, cartoons or signs.
In the last part of the daily courses we prepare the leisure time acitivities in a simplified way. You will get in touch with the basic vocabulary and context necessary to comprehend the Spanish tour guides.
At the end of the course you receive a confirmation of participation showing on request the level you have reached.
Intermediate
Adequate for you if you are already able to communicate in some everyday situations but still need support. You attended the Beginners level or acquired comparable knowledge of the Spanish language. Your will learn to
- speak more confidently in a variety of situations
- comprehend relevant information from everyday texts and to deduct the meaning of new words from the context
- write simple letters for personal and official purposes covering everyday issues.
We work with discussions, advertisment, songs, literary and factual texts, letters and the student's own suggestions. The subjects are closely associated with the culture, history, society and politics of Spain (and to some extent Latin America) in order to create an authentic picture of modern Spain.
At this level we finish the study of basic grammar (structures already covered including future and past tenses) and we begin studying more difficult aspects such as the subjunctive tenses.
At the end of the daily courses we prepare the leisure time activities covering the important vocabulary and context to enable you to understand the Spanish tour guides and ask questions.

Upper intermediate
 You have attended the intermediate level or acquired a comparable knowledge of the Spanish language.
At this level we develop the conversational skills using humour, songs, lifestyles, culture, history, literature, film, sayings and idiomatic expressions as well as the student's own suggestions. Regarding grammar we revise and perfect use of previously studied tenses, study the subjunctive in more depth and work on conditional clauses.
In the last part of the daily courses we prepare the leisure time acitivities. You will learn the vocabulary and context important to understand and the Spanish tour guides, ask questions and even make some jokes.
At the end of the course you receive a confirmation of participation showing on request the level you have reached.
Advanced
The advanced level is aimed at students who are already fluent in Spanish and want to perfect their knowledge of the language. We extend your lexis through debate, study of the language's subtleties and common expressions, and a deepening of grammatical understanding to correct defects which may still exist. Subjects are diverse; Literature, Current Affairs or any suggestion you wish to work with. The objective of this course is to really perfect your spoken and written Spanish.
If you are interested, in the last part of the daily courses we prepare the leisure time acitivities. You will learn the special vocabulary and read texts concerning activities such as canyoning, caving, climbing, horse riding, etc.
